About Me

I'm Taryn, I currently work on the Developer Division at Microsoft with a focus on Azure PaaS services. I leverage both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to better understand the strategic direction of our current cloud offerings.

I recently defended my PhD dissertation at the University' of Washington’s Department of Human Center Design and Engineering. My research focused on understanding how collaboration differs in various language editions of Wikipedia.

Previously, I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science and a minor in Human Computer Interaction. 

I love to travel and hope to visit 30 countries before turning 30. The current list of countries visited: Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil, Greece, Turkey, Germany, France, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Iceland, Sweden, England, Scotland, Spain, Aruba and South Korea. I will soon be adding Amsterdam to the list!
