How do user behavior patterns on the English Wikipedia generalize to other Wikipedia language editions?
The English language Wikipedia is notable for its enormous database and for the intricate collaborative interactions that have made and sustained it. However, there are 288 other active language editions of Wikipedia that have developed through the coordination of contributing editors. Our research aims to consider how models of English Wikipedia collaboration fit with collaborative activity in the Spanish and French Wikipedias. Our study also aims to demonstrates the need to account for variations in collaborative behaviors in non-English Wikipedias.
